Mr. Chèvre, what key factors led Décovi SA to invest in state-of-the-art air purification technology at this particular time, especially during a challenging economic period?

We were having issues with our electrostatic filtration system. A fine oil mist was forming in the workshop. We wanted to resolve this issue, primarily for the well-being of our employees, even though we were already in compliance with SUVA standards.

How has the significant improvement in air quality—with a 17-fold reduction in particulate matter—specifically impacted your employees’ daily work?

We quickly noticed that the air quality had improved significantly. The employees are very satisfied with the solution that was installed.

In your view, what role does air quality play in the competitiveness of a manufacturing facility, particularly in sectors such as precision engineering and the watch industry?

If the air in the workshop is contaminated with very fine oil particles, these particles will eventually settle on all surfaces in the workshop. This quickly leads to problems, especially when measuring high-precision components.

How did the collaboration with FILTRACON go during the planning, installation, and measurement campaigns, and what insights would you like to share with other companies?

From the very beginning, we were on the same page with the FILTRACON team. They wanted to offer us solutions that met our needs, rather than simply selling us a system. Very precise and professional measurements were taken both before and after installation. This confirms the effectiveness of the solution we implemented.

What advice would you give to companies that are considering upgrading their extraction or filtration systems but haven't made a decision yet?

Technology continues to evolve, and electrostatic filter solutions often no longer fully meet today’s requirements. It is important to rely on an experienced team of specialists like FILTRACON’s, which is well-versed in this field.
